





Verifysoft Technology introduces Testwell CTC++ 9.0
At Embedded World in Nuremberg, Verifysoft Technology will present the latest version 9.0 of the code coverage tool Testwell CTC++.One highlight: Testwell CTC++ now also supports the Objective-C language popular with iOS devices.
OFFENBURG, 10. January 2019 – Verifysoft Technology GmbH, provider of the widely used code coverage solution Testwell CTC++, announces the availability of the new version 9.0 of Testwell CTC++. The focus of the new features is the more universal usability of the solution for current embedded projects. Among other things, this includes support for Objective-C: Those who develop applications for iOS and macOS usually cannot avoid the Objective-C programming language - often abbreviated as ObjC. It has long been the standard in the Apple universe and will probably not be replaced by Swift in the foreseeable future: According to the 2017 Stack Overflow Developer Survey, 7.3 percent of professional developers worldwide prefer to work with ObjC. With version 9.0, Testwell CTC++ now also supports developers in testing embedded systems that work with ObjC. In addition, with Testwell CTC++ 9.0, support for C++ has been further extended. For example, the solution from Verifysoft Technology now also supports variable templates from the C++14 standard. Aditionally, the first functionalities of the upcoming C++20 standard have already been implemented in Testwell CTC++ 9.0. There have also been significant improvements in the recognition of compile-time constant expressions (compile-time constants). Here, Testwell CTC++ can now recognize even complex expressions much more precisely, which significantly reduces the effort required for coverage measurement.
